Camp Theme:
Attacking with Deception
Master Lateral Movement, Elite Dekes & Beating Defenders With Your Feet
Every Skills Accelerator camp focuses on a distinct theme so players walk away with clear, measurable improvements they can use in real games right away.
The theme for this winter camp is Attacking with Deception - with a comprehensive 2-day curriculum designed to transform the way players create space, beat defenders, and attack with confidence. This is not a “random drill” camp — it’s a modern skill-development system that teaches players how to use their feet, edges, and puck control together to break down defenders and generate real offensive chances.
Across this winter session, players will learn how elite skaters use lateral movement, body fakes, and puck deception to manipulate defenders, attack open ice, and create scoring opportunities anywhere on the rink.
Perfect for players who want to stop “just skating straight ahead” and start attacking like a creator.
Camp Curriculum
My progressive 2-day structure builds elite hockey skills from the ground up. Day 1 focuses on technical mastery and individual skill development. Day 2 elevates those skills into tactical game situations, teaching players how to apply techniques at game speed with smart decision-making.

Day 2: Tactical Application
Apply the technical skills learned on day 1 in real game scenarios.
  • 1v1 dekes entering the offensive zone
  • Getting off the wall and attacking middle-ice
  • Breakaway dekes & scoring
  • Attacking with optionality to manipulate defenders

Can I attend just one day?
Yes! While we recommend the full camp for maximum development, single-day options are available. Select "single-day" at checkout and choose Day 1 or Day 2.
What should my player bring?
  • Full hockey gear (skates, pads, helmet, stick)
  • Gym clothes & athletic shoes (no sandals)
  • Water bottle & electrolytes (Gatorade)
  • Snacks & lunch (or use on-site restaurant)
  • Pen & notebook for film sessions
  • Rollerskates (optional but recommended)
Where does everything take place?
All activities happen at or right outside Great Park Ice in Irvine. On-ice sessions use Rinks 3 and 4. Film work is in the Niedermayer Room. Shooting masterclasses are on the grass field or parking lot outside.
Can parents stay and watch?
Yes! Parents are welcome to observe portions of camp. Watching your player develop is part of the experience. There's seating and viewing areas available throughout the facility.
